As a young man, William Gehris had a dream of having his own business.  After serving in the army in WW2, he served his tilesetter apprenticeship.  In 1949 his dream was fulfilled.  Quality work and design was his trademark over the many years.  Today son Rich and his wife Linda are the driving force behind Gehris Tile.  Rich oversees the installations and Linda’s duties include managing the showroom and assisting the clients with their design needs.   In 1987 in order to show our product lines and services we opened a showroom at 424 Penn Ave, West Reading.   You can see all types and shapes of ceramic, porcelain and natural stone tiles.  We also do granite, marble, limestone and corian countertops.  Also custom tops for that family heirloom piece of furniture.  Glass block, tumbled natural stone and glass mosaics are also being utilized to make your project more personalized.  If you feel tile is too cold on your bath or kitchen floor why not heat it!  Yes, we install that too.
